Establish Personal Work Goals Assessment 1: Quick Learning Activities a) After reading the statements, choose three words from the page that best describe you. Innovative ­My ability to put together ideas and information in a single process in which nobody else has put forward. I think the key to being innovative is the ability to think out of the square. Observing people and analysing conclusions and ask questions of, why, who, what. Uncovering myself to new ideas and meeting with other people with different ideas and views. Encouraging Showing genuine interest. I believe this is the most effective way of encouraging others. Letting others know you care. Acknowledge what’s important to myself and others. A simple thank you lets others know what they have done is worthwhile and meaningful to me. I encourage others to respond with something unexpected. Asking for advice or confiding in people. Offering to lend a hand. Waiting for someone to ask for my advice is pasitive. You can be active by offering to lend a hand. Motivation ­ My Ability to do what needs to be done, without influence from other people or situations. With self motivation I can find a reason and strength to complete a task, even if it is challenging, without giving up or needing another to encourage me. b) What is a role model? A role model is hard to determine, because it can be different for most people. Your role model depends on you, as it does on the person you look up too. A role model is someone who you aspires to be like, either in the past, present or the future. A role model may be someone who you know and interact with regularly, or may be someone who you've never met, such as public figures like businessmen, police officers or politicians, teachers or others like your
