And also due to the shops closing, the people ended up loosing there jobs. As a consequence to this, Parts of Cornwall and definitely Boscastle saw permanent drop in house prices due to the lowered economy and the additional risk added for a flood risk. ‘The Guardian’ stated that the house prices had almost halved! Tourism was a main economical strength in Cornwall. With it being responsible for 35% of the Cornwall’s GDP by raising an average of £1 Billion per year!
Military interactions were based on the technology such as trench warfare, submarines, airplanes and tanks. The three categories mentioned above controlled these interactions because each category was responsible for the interactions. For example diplomacy controlled what countries participated in the war and who those countries fought. Battles for example are an obvious interaction to which side is winning. Governments of countries for example often had to keep their peoples under control participating in the war and having mixed feelings/ opinions of the war.
The United States viewed counterterrorism missions as special operations by covert, clandestine, or low visibility means. Today counterterrorism is classified as a core task for the United States. We have created or redefined our special sources to conduct a more offensive measure to combat terrorism. To construct a Counterterrorism and Intelligence Framework that will create the most “robust” intelligence system and strategically efficient counterterrorism operations we must first get the CIA, FBI and the Department of Defense to work hand in hand to help detour terrorism. This is not an easy task but it can be done and a new policy can come from this recommendation.
Around August of 2007, banks become afraid to loan money out due to the fact that they did not want to suffer from losing money yet again. “This led to the $700 billion bailout, and bankruptcies or government nationalization of Bear Stearns, AIG, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, IndyMac Bank, and Washington Mutual. By December 2008, employment was declining faster than in the 2001 recession.”(useconomy.com). With so many foreclosures on houses, many americans were either homeless, or had bought a cheap apartment to keep them from being homeless. Because of the recession, and bad economic, many Americans have no jobs, and barely have a house.
New technology has changed the Pyrmont community, because it is able to open up new jobs, but also causes decline in jobs that are already there. Such as in the 1980s when the large freight industry was moved out of Pyrmont, due to the improvement of cargo ships, which enable more stocks to be transported, but could no longer fit in the docks of Pyrmont. These caused thousands of residents to leave Pyrmont in search of jobs that were lost at the docks, with thousands of men gone, businesses around Pyrmont quickly followed, as they made no money were they were. The development of transport has also changed Pyrmont, with more frequent services, many people living outside Pyrmont are still able to work there, getting there either by train, bus, taxis or car. New technology also changes work patterns in Pyrmont.
However, with the new act and its simplicity people are no longer trying to fix their marriages and are just getting divorced which leads to the breakdowns of many family units. For example, the divorce rate increased by 5% between 2009 and 2010. This can have terrible effects upon the family in particular any children the couple may share because a parents’ divorce can be an upsetting time and some children find it very difficult to handle. It can also affect the family because not all divorces are civil and it can leave the couple having bad relations and in custody battles the children can be deeply affected because in some cases only one parent has custody and they don’t allow the children to see the other parent therefore depriving them of a treasured bond within their life. The child benefit act also affects the institution of family.
The Conservative Government left the Labour Government with large debts to the IMF and an increase in inflation in the economy. Although the Labour Government did not help this problem as they approached the IMF for another loan and its increase in debt meant that they had to decrease wages and increase prices, which then caused problems with the workers of the country. Due to a decrease in wages, many workers were unhappy and inflation led them to blame the government’s lack of control of the country’s finances for the financial problems that everybody faced. As inflation was rising, unemployment was increasing as in the four years of the Labour Government, unemployment rose by half as ‘key industries continued to shrink’. However, the government blamed the financial problems on the workers and especially the unions as strikes caused workforce to stop and the government went to the IMF, this however does not include Wilsons decision to devalue the pound as this was damaging on the economy because people were getting loess for their money and it disheartened a lot of the population.
If we all vowed to protect each other and our land we would have a better understanding of the military and appreciate the sacrifices that someone else made for us. America is a super power that also protects other countries. We elect our leaders and expect them to run the show, the
However, necessary changes has occurred regards to resources used prior to the 9/11 attack. Currently, on-scene leaders must know resources that are available to them from Federal, state, and local agencies; they must also be aware of protocols during collaboration within established agencies. This action is necessary because cooperative procedures are set forth in mutual aid agreements. Law enforcement administrators must ensure that the incident officers or commanders in charge with the responsibility for command and control during such attacks are operating on a well-laid foundation. In addition, several types of categories regards to terrorism are known today; which is an overview of the National Incident Management System that has been created to assist public agencies when addressing major incidents.
The value of taxes on items also decreased. Revenues gained from new development were also decreased, leading to the unemployment rate. Although the 2007-2009 recessions had many hardships the economy will recover. The unemployed workers still feel the effects of this recession. It was devastating and painful to them and their families.
