One of the first places we see his bravery is right at the beginning of the book, when he is dining in King Arthur's court. When the Green Knight entered the court, he presented a challenge to all of King Arthur's knights assuming that they would rise to the occasion. Instead, all of the knights sat in their seats dumbfounded, but the minute King Arthur was about to accept the challenge (since none of his knights would), Gawain bravely stood up and did what no other knight wanted to do, accept the challenge (and save the kingdom from anarchy). By doing this, Gawain not only showed his love for King Arthur, but also for his kingdom. In the poem Beowulf, the main character, Beowulf is an incredible person who was willing to defeat anyone to keep his people safe.

Sir Gawain, a knight for King Arthur who holds its honor when facing the Green knight, keeping his promise. Both also commit sins (According to Chivalry) by not honoring women.

Aragon also known as Strider, is very mysterious, trustworthy and a leader who would be best to bear the ring to Mount Doom. He has to grow into a position as a king and his journey to Mount Doom proves this right and the growth of the kingdoms of man. He is one of the nine in the Fellowship who’s going to Mount Doom to destroy the one ring. Time passed and knights came and left, but no knight seemed to be good enough for both Edna and King Ulyi. One day, a mysterious knight approached Swaton. The knight came to the king and announced that he was here to win his worthiness: “What is your name noble knight?” said King Ulyi “Knight Levi and this is my loyal squire Tyler.” Replied the knight.
What request does Beowulf make at the end of Canto 37? Wiglaf to be King/successor; make a memorial and funeral pyre; bring back all treasure so that he gets to see it; lines 2746-2756 “bring me…gems before I die..death will be softer leaving life…if I look at all these prizes” 11. Summarize Beowulf's last words to Wiglaf. Gives Wiglaf all his things…rings and treasures and talks about building the funeral pyre; 2809 – “Then that brave king gave the golden necklace from around his throat to Wiglaf…helmet and ring and mail shirt…use them well”; Treasure is theirs as well as the glory (lines 2745- end Canto 37) “gold is ours too, …hurry…before I die…death will be softer…”; fame, fortune (materialism), “you’re the last of our family…death is waiting and now I follow them” (lines 2816-2818) fulfilled his
“Seek it if you dare! Save us, once more, and again twisted gold, heaped-up ancient creature, will reward you for the battle you win!” (lines 445-448). I know I couldn’t but I guess that’s where bravery kicks in for this well-known hero name Beowulf. Beowulf is very wise and i stick with my statement because he thinks before he talk or do anything. Like with Grendel, the whole entire land of the kings’ men was trying their hardest to kill him. But Beowulf stayed up all and analyzed Grendel as he killed one the men. He prepared for every fight thoroughly.
Ramesses the great held annual public ceremony for the people to recognize who he was, thus giving a face to the orders. His innovation in critical thinking, or thinking outside the box in concerns to politics, gave Ramesses more support in his campaigns (Smithson). Ramesses the Great was trained to become a ruler from a very young age. Seti, his father, put the up incoming King through “rigorous educational training” (Smithson) which was never enforced prior to his rule during the ninetieth dynasty, training young sons of Pharaohs was unprecedented (Smithson). All Pharaohs had one ultimate goal in life, to cheat death and become immortal in the eyes of history.
