Self-Assessment Analysis Liberty University April 15, 2013 Abstract Personality plays an important part in ones behavior in the work place. One’s behavior good or bad is influenced by personality and their value system (Robbins and Judge, 2009). We see the various personalities within a team or organization; personality test have become a great way to identify strengths and weaknesses of individuals. After taking the Prentice Hall’s Self-Assessment Library test I discovered that I scored highest for “how satisfied I am with my job”. I believe the economy and job market played a part in my answers and scored the lowest for “how involved I am with my job” (Pearson Education, 2008, I.B.2).
JCT2 Task 1 RIE Tech Analytical Report The first four quarters of the simulation went well. Two original computers were designed to meet the needs of customers in two market segments. As feedback was reviewed regarding customer requirements, three modified computers were designed. The fourth quarter of the simulation ended with a substantial profit and a positive cash balance. As decisions were made regarding expenses in the simulation, I documented each expense amount in a journal.

The comment about Meg Whitman holding the title as one of the best CEO’s in the country is an understatement. She has developed a leadership style that works for her and creates an environment where those around her want to participate and strive for excellence. One of her leadership styles would be considered transactional leadership, as this style is known for its motivations and rewards, clear chain of command and leaders create structures for subordinates. Whitman’s decision to allow new employees to observe and study the company mission for three months is cutting edge to say the least. Most organizations would not be as innovative or courageous, if you will, to allow this type of training.
While the core area of electronics and communication engineering remains my true passion, I am also inspired to explore the topic of information systems and management further. Close interactions with senior visiting professors and subject experts opened more windows to the exciting prospects that the field presented in industry as well as research and development roles.
