Every child is innocent at the time of born. From the moment of born, it starts to learn and experience the world with every type of experience. Those experiences are depending on the environmental conditions and life situations. Hence they face pleasant and unpleasant situations. Child abuse is one of the main thing that to be and a considerations.

Child abuse is a serious issue in the society. “Child abuse entails the betrayal of a caregiver’s position of trust and authority over a child”, (Child Abuse and Neglect, 1997). Child abuse is any mistreatment or neglect of a child that results in non-accidental harm or injury and which cannot be reasonably explained. Child abuse can include: physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse and neglect.

“Physical abuse is the deliberate application of force to any part’s body which rests or may result in a non-accidental injury”. (Child Abuse and Neglect, 1997). Inflicted physical injury most often represents unreasonable, severe corporal punishment or unjustifiable punishment. This usually happens when a frustrated or angry parent strikes, shakes or throws a child. Physical abuse injuries result from punching, beating, kicking, biting, burning or otherwise harming a child.

Emotional abuse is systematic tearing down of another human being. “Emotional abuse involves an attack on a child’s sense of self”. (Child Abuse and Neglect, 1997). According to Federal Legislation 2003, emotional abuse is any manners that weaken a child’s emotion. In some instances, an emotionally abused child will show no signs of abuse. For this reason, emotional abuse is the most difficult form of child maltreatment to identify and stop.

It is very difficult for most people to talk about sexual abuse and even more difficult for society as a whole to acknowledge that the...
