Unit 5 3.1 To provide an efficient, well run person centred service I have to work with many different professionals from different agencies and organisations. It is an important part of my role as manager to work in partnership with others as it means that we have the chance to share our knowledge and skills but also observe that of other professionals and extend their knowledge and skills at the same time. To work effectively with professionals as a manager I need to * Communicate effectively with others in the interest of the service users * Identify and challenge discriminatory practices * Apply interviewing, listening and observation skills of the joint assessment process and shared reports * Negotiate and organise skills that enable good team working * Deal with difficult situations and manage conflict 3.4 The effectiveness of any professional partnerships can be judged on its failures and/or successes. It is important to be clear about the purpose of professional partnerships and to monitor the actions and resources they use. It is important to review, measure and monitor any progress against the set objectives and have regular progress reports.
It is very important to ensure that all staff members have the necessary skills and have undertaken suitable developmental activities to complete the work they are given. As a manager it is important to look over and carefully calculate the time and cost on a regular basis to make sure it’s cost effective so the organization isn’t losing money. Having regular consultations (meetings, brainstorming sessions, project groups etc.) are also highly expected from a manager as it provides prompt and constructive feedback to the employee. Which will help to suggest improvements that will increase resource efficiency and effectiveness; as employees use resources everyday to get there job done and will know what works and what doesn’t.
201: Understand why communication is important in the work 201:1.1- People communicate to pass on messages, share opinions, give advice, understand things or be understood, build and maintain relationships, or simply just for the pleasure of talking about everyday things in life 201:1.2- You need good communication in your workplace because without it some things could go wrong, for example: your concerned about a services user, they don’t seem to be very good on their feet anymore and are struggling to do everyday tasks, so you inform your office, so they can update the care plan and discuss maybe more help for the service user, but if you didn’t inform the office of the changes from the individual they may put themselves in danger and hurt themselves and that could be partly your fault from lack of communication 201:1.3- Service users may not be able to respond while communicating with us but their body language and facial expressions can say a lot. It is important to always view an individual’s reactions because if we aren’t paying attention we could be missing out on a lot of communication. 201:2.1- You should use good conversation and questions to find out what the individual understands, what language they are most comfortable using, you can get some of the information of out the care plan, your manager or their family. 201:2.3- We can seek advice about the service user from our manager in the office or co-ordinator or maybe another employee which has worked with the individual before 201:3.1- Communication barriers may have to cause a negative impact in our care job. There are a lot of communication barrier we can see while with service user like sensory impairment, different language, slang, background noise, learning disabilities, a hearing aid is not working 201:3.4- You can help written text from one language to another, or you could also use

When you are working in a team and especially if it is in a company, you need to be a good team player and to get along with all members of clients no matter whether you like or not, If you don't communicate well they limit their ability to connect on any meaningful level and that can lead to conflict or any other trouble that can cause you to be excluded from the work field, so it is extremely important for a person to have better relationships with the colleague that you are working with. Positive communication skills like listening, open-ended questions, calm tone of voice and I statements help unite people because they are behaviours that lead to sustained relationships. Workplace relationships also become a lot stronger when people can clearly and effectively communicate what they need and allow others to do the same. Unit 1. 1.1 PWSC 1.1 Explain how communication affects relationships in your work setting Within the work setting communicating effectively with colleagues and clients is vitally important to ensure that the client’s needs are met. It is also important to effectively communicate in order to establish a relationship with colleagues and clients to build rapport and trust so that a fellow colleague or client feel comfortable communicating information relating to your duties within the work setting. Whilst in the work setting you may communicate differently with various individuals however it is important to communicate with all individuals with respect and appropriately at all times. When meeting a client for the first time it is important to establish how they prefer to be communicated with such as how they wish to be addressed whilst being aware of any difficulties they may have such as issues with their hearing

All of these things help me with my work culture because I can perform in high demanding jobs. As well the career I have chosen for myself in a corporate management career because you need to have the skills to communicate. To cope with pressure of high demanding situations, and being able to come up with new ideas to help the business and the people you have worked under you. These skills are necessary for me so I can become a good leader. I want my employees under me to be able to learn from me and how I work and deal with situations in the work field.

The project manager must be able to solve these problems. Project manager must be motivated and have a positive attitude in the difficult situations also.
