The wind grew colder, the air smelled different; everything was now different for Irene and Francisco. The fear in their eyes never seemed to go away; they knew what was awaiting them. They knew that they were destined together for a life of constant fear, and not ever really knowing what was going to happen to them next. They know thought of their lives as meaningless strives for justice, for they knew that at any corner someone lay there ready to kill them. They tried to bring justice for the unidentified, unheard voices of the innocent, but somehow they felt they failed. The people were now in bigger danger; the familiar faces now deaths target. Both of them knew nothing of their future, of their past. All was now a question; who was on the peoples’ side? Why had so many people been so afraid to confront the people who harmed them? Why would anyone want to harm a simple woman who tried to seek the truth? All these questioned lingered in their heads, and both of them knew this; none of them ever really knew what to say. Their love never disintegrated it seemed to grow stronger, but most of their conversations seemed to be through their eyes. Francisco always knew when Irene was about to burst in tears. I wanted to show that even though they tried to help they feel like they failed trying to help. The deaths of the innocent will continue, because no one is truly listening to what people are saying, and the sad part is that most people know what happens, however fear is what holds people back from justice. Fear is what keeps people from helping their peers, from helping themselves. The government cover up doesn’t help the people but instead ends up harming people, when they ask for the help.
