Challenge and Change The use of an obstacle is to be overcome, and the meaning of an obstacle is not to frighten people, but to challenge and change people. Life is a difficult, challenging journey. Everyone has their own life to live, and their own obstacles to pass through. No matter how fast they can overcome the obstacles, it only matters how they learn and gain experiences from every challenge. Life is the climb, there will be many barriers that may block the way of success, but people will find that every time they overcome one barrier, they realize who they really are, and how much they have changed.
Abidemi Atanda Period 4 Tuesday, November 19,2013 Task; Critical Lens Essay English/ Ms. Harris Life is the greatest gift of all. However, life has different stages, which come along with various obstacles. In the words of Langston Hughes, “Life ain’t no crystal stair.” George Moore reaffirms that with his quote that says “The difficulty of life is the choice’. In addition to the problems we face in life, decision making is included. Contemplating on a decision is hard, but, making the decision is even harder.
Learning from these mistakes, SHC spent considerable time and effort forming a selection team and gaining consensus for its new EMR system, which resulted in Epic as a clear winner. SHC has successfully involved stakeholders in the selection and implementation strategy; nevertheless, SHC leadership must keep in mind that many people within the organization may be wary of a new system given the frustration that was caused by the implementation of Carecast. The major factors that negatively affect EMR system implementation have to do with people – a lack of strong leadership and effective governance, along with suboptimal change readiness and stakeholder involvement. Inasmuch, SHC leadership must show a long-term commitment to transformation and implementation of the Epic system. Although it is not as common to start implementation with the front office, beginning a rollout with clinical applications would send a positive message to physicians that the new system was integral to the organizations core strategy rather than just an administrative exercise.
If we are relying on these children to run our country in the future, why are we putting them in such harsh environments and harming them? This is an important issue that I believe deserves a lot of attention and
Both decisions come about unexpectedly and either way the patient decides they, as well as their life will be forever changed in some way or another. There are so many personal decisions both medical and not that every person, man or woman, must face on a regular basis. Many times, as humans, we are highly flawed in our decision making; we are faced with making good and bad decisions that affect our lives for better or worst. Every decision that we as humans have to make was not meant to be placed under a microscope or a camera lens or on a defense stand. Perhaps this is why the founders of the constitution of America made sure to include such a provision as the ninth amendment in their bill.
One negative aspect to his essay would have to be his bias toward conservatives and the rich. He deliberately labels out the rich in many of his examples by pointing out how they claim to be Christian but do not wish to help aid the poor. As for conservatives, he not only points out George W. Bush but refers at times to religion as “conservative religion.” This clearly shows his bias toward them and could be a way for him to associate them with the American Christianity problem. I believe McKibben has a great point on this issue. As American Christians, we always believe that if we do good deeds or help ourselves we go to heaven.
Many of his decisions led to uproar, but one in the end set the ground for the United States as we know it today. James McPherson tries to get many points across in “As Commander-in-Chief I Have a Right to Take Any Measure Which May Best Subdue the Enemy.” It seems at times that he will go as far as calling Lincoln a man who is unconstitutional and even goes against his own morals. As his article progresses you see more of the main point that McPherson is trying to make. Early in his document, McPherson says when referring to Lincoln declaring war, “The
Puritan Essay Everywhere that people step foot in this world, they will encounter diverse ideas, practices and beliefs that people incorporate into their daily lives. In many people’s eyes, the belief systems and practices of the Puritans’ were extreme at times and a little over the top. The Puritans often went to radical measures in order to profess the extreme faith in their practices. They believed that God was the reason behind everything that happened, whether good or bad, during their journey. Survival of people, along with their death, and the collection of the basic resources needed for survival, all lead back to the main source of willpower for the Puritans; God.
Religious Right author David Barton, perhaps the most outspoken of the “wall of separation” critics, devoted an entire book, The Myth of Separation, to proving his claim that church-state separation is “absurd” and was a principle completely foreign to the Founding Fathers. He states: “In Jefferson’s full letter, he said separation of church and state means the government will not run the church, but we will use Christian principles with government.” More recently, two researchers have published books that criticize the almost infamous status the metaphor has achieved, especially before the U. S. Supreme Court. Daniel Dreisbach, who wrote, Thomas Jefferson and the Wall of Separation between Church and State, is critical of the courts for making the metaphor a practical rule of constitutional law. Dreisbach’s basic argument is that the metaphor fails to distinguish between the conception of “separation” and “non-establishment.” Dreisbach is correct in saying that metaphors can be overstated, misused, and made poor substitutes for legal
