The core business process is impacted through changes in technology and managing the supply chain. Strategic decisions are based on e-business, competition and globalization. The capacity of facilities, inventory levels and varieties of products and services, and the delivery of goods and services are influenced by backward and forward vertical integration processes. 3. Economic value is a primary focus to determine infrastructure between the supply chains. No ordering and producing products without a demand will promote flexibility in terms of product mix and eliminate product waste and services. The organization will not go without stock, sales, and distribution of products in demand. Therefore, Home Depot’s supply chain value, management, vision or goals and development priorities should focus upon the following objectives in the next 24-month period. Home Depot’s key to success is the way the organization treat people well and encourage associates to speak up and take risk in leadership and development for growth. Internal and external participants and the use of the internet and access to all supply chain management and business to business management or information, has the capability of initiating a different market plan or changes to a proposal if necessary is made possible. Technology allows businesses to identify demographics, tune into consumers shared experiences and problems and resolutions. Conclusion The problems that Home Depot faces are effectively trying to customize all consumers and value chain needs (The Home Depot U.S.A., Inc., 2003-2006). A possible solution for addressing and fulfilling the organization’s mission is to make exceptions instead of following the rules.
