Cosi is a semi‐autobiographical play composed by Louis Nowra. At the beginning of the novel, Walter Lee is perceived to be a frustrated and hostile man who cares more about obtaining wealth than running a productive household. The event which changes Walter’s views on wealth occurs when Walter invites Mr. Linder back to the household sell their new property back to the neighbors. Walter’s epiphany occurs when Walter rejects the offer previously made by Mr. Linder which shows that Walter has realized family pride is more important than wealth. There is so much more conflict with Biff and his father because Wily wants to mold his son Biff into a success that he thinks the American Dream holds for him. Although his tries throughout this molding he fails. Another reason why there was so much conflict was because Biff caught him cheating on his mom.

AS Level Drama Supporting Notes Section 1 The chosen practitioners for our AS Level drama performance of ‘Stolen Secrets’ by Finn Kennedy is the Kneehigh Theatre Company. We read books about Kneehigh, watched video clips of their performances and discussed their methods. The key aspect of Kneehigh that inspired was their unique way of storytelling that is woven into each of their plays. Kneehigh has been called ‘the company that has put the soul back into storytelling’. Kneehigh use physical theatre and eccentric characterisations to add to the quirkiness of their storytelling which was appealing to our group as we wanted to push ourselves to find new strengths enabling us to create challenging, innovative, emotionally-charged work as Kneehigh
He believes he can regain Daisy. Although he has the wealth that can match with the leisured class, he does not have their manners. His tragedy lies in his possession of a naive sense. Nick, the novel’s narrator, considers that his greatness lies in the talent for self-invention, the ability to transform his dreams into reality, and his persistent love. His life is dedicated to the recovery and renewal of an early love with Daisy, whose “voice is full of money.”(Fitzgerald, 2001: 11) He believes in Daisy and manages to protect her.

I tell thee what: get thee to church o’Thursday or never after look me in the face.” Here as you can see he threatens her, he curses and he nearly uses physical violence. In the society in the play, fathers had the power to rule their family. They believed that men were better than the women. The audience would have been shocked by his behaviour because so far what the audience have seen in the play was that he showed respect and love to his daughter when suddenly his temper changed into hatred and anger the audience would be much exited sitting on the bottom of their chairs.
