Those that started secondary school in England in September 2008 and onwards are now legally required to stay in education until 17 years of old, also, there is now a much higher demand for universities so most 16-17 year olds will not be likely to be exposed to the issues concerned and addressed by the government such as taxes, unemployment that means it is hard to survive (and perhaps how illegal immigration affects the ability to get a job) etc. So rather than considering each candidates proposals to address these issues and making an informed decision of which candidate they feel addressed the best the issues of the voter and matches the opinion in the issues concerned by the voter, as they are not exposed to such issues 16-17 year olds may vote for the sake of voting for a random candidate without carefully considering their decision. 16-17 year olds, most still living at home may be greatly influenced by their parents; especially if they are not interested in the idea of voting, parents may take advantage of this and use their child as an additional vote. Although just a portion of the British population, the London riots are likely to have put off many the idea of the voting age being lowered; it can be argued that the youth haven’t proved themselves worthy of a vote. However we cannot make judgements of such as 16-17 year olds not bothering about voting and voting for the sake of voting etc.
The parliament would have been able to muster volunteers, but there was no money to equip them with weapons, and the only way that the Parliament would have been able to make money, would be by introducing taxes. However, the Parliament simply couldn’t just create money from taxes as everyone refused to pay the taxes. The payment of taxes could have been enforced, but there was no army to do the enforcement. There were no consequences to the people of the German Empire if they disobeyed the decisions of the Frankfurt Parliament, so decisions were not followed by the people. This was not surprising, as there was no previous history of a democracy in Germany before the Frankfurt Parliament, therefore there was not much support from the ordinary people for the new concept.
If markets for Apogee's goods and services exist in multiple locations, having one office hardly makes sense. Multiple offices should be opened to increase profit. The author could do a couple of things to make this argument stronger. For example, there is no evidence that shows the profitability of all the field offices is declining. There is also no evidence that shows the marketability of the field offices.
If a University is budgeting its money and only allows so much for scholarships and then those scholarships are given to those who can afford a college education, where do those who can't fall? Of course, if I was to look at this issue, more specifically the article in The Week on this issue, through the heavily made up eyes of a Bentley driving social queen fresh out of high school, I might flip my hair and say 'whatever'. But alas I did not grow up with a perpetual pout and a daddy with a 6 figure bank account at his disposal, so instead I'm saying if you can afford the tuition you shouldn't receive scholarship money. Keyword being money. See I think one of the substantial benefits of getting a scholarship, besides the money itself, is the recognition that comes with it.

Going to college today is more important then it was in the past., as a college graduate can annually earn $17,500 more than a person with only a high school diploma.

The college degree is becoming the new high school diploma, the new minimum requirement. In fact it shows that, “data from the government proves that higher education degree completion is important for job seekers; according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2009 the unemployment rate was more than twice as high for persons without a high school diploma than for persons with an Associate’s degree. That gap widens to three times in comparison to persons who a hold a Bachelor’s degree”. For some young people like myself, it is a great time to get away from home and become independent without losing the financial support from my parents. So, is college worth it?
