The author’s vocabulary and diction was another thing I really liked. He used advanced vocabulary frequently, yet it was still easy to understand. The way he put the words together made it flow extremely well. The setting that John Knowles set was really good. It was easy to tell where and when the book was, from the start.
All throughout the book, Guy Montag stands up for what he believes is right and not like the dystopian government that takes place during that time. He is a very intelligent man, and has a good head on his shoulders. Even though he is really smart, he believes he is a traitor. Even worse than a traitor, a fireman traitor. As feeling like the traitor he is, he still will not give up his books.
300 Final Film Review 300 is by far the best comic book based movie I have evened seen But what really makes this movie stand out from all of the other movies is the amazing cinematography that this movie has. Larry Fong has proven that a brilliant Director of Photography can turn any boring tale into something great and interesting. Now, the tale isn’t boring. Not by a long shot. But we’ve seen and heard the same tale a lot before.
The Crucible: The Book or The Movie? When asked the question in which format, the book or the movie, do you as the student get more out of? I personally was able to appreciate the concepts of this story better in the movie than in the book. Its not just the fact that I am a bit more of a visual learner but the simple fact the movie was fantastic because of its wonderful portrayal of the characters and the cohesiveness between the movie and the book. The actors in this movie make an all star cast of Hollywood’s most heralded and respected people.
Tucci is incredibly creepy, weird, and awkward as Mr. Harvey and his interactions with people are some of the best parts of the movie. Ronan is also quite great as Susie Salmon, I feel she captured the innocence of the character but had the maturity to carry the movie. Peter Jackson did a great job casting actors. In the end I really enjoyed this movie. Jackson equally balanced the feelings of grief, anger, and even happiness and warmth into this movie.
It was an interesting interruption of the play as it was not how I would have pictured it but it made the audience see the set in a different perspective. J.S Priestley would be proud to see it. The cast were very well preformed and were so professional about the whole thing. The inspector was played by Tom Mannion, he has a Scottish accent which put me off a little because I never thought the inspector was from Scotland but in the play, it never told you where he was born so it was significant. At the end of investigation Mannion did perform the final speech very well, drawing the attention of the audience in to the most important line ‘We don't live alone.
When it comes to the things I liked about the movie there were several. I enjoyed the presentation of the storyline, the storyline itself, the cast, the symbolism, and the cinematography. I think all of these things come together and make Citizen Kane an excellent movie. The first thing I liked about the movie was the storyline. The movie is centered on the life of a man named Charles Foster Kane.
His exploration of such powerful elements is done in a manner that is not redundant or containing "extra writing." The novel is short and powerful, making it well received by both students and readers, alike. Contributing to its popularity is the universal feel of its characters. Lenny's childlike approach to life as well as his hopes can be
Gladwell is a great story teller. All of his examples are in a story form. All his stories have the same meaning. It’s a great book to start with but at the end it is quite boring. There should have been some graphical representations in the book.
I thoroughly enjoyed that aspect. Finally, I would like say thank you. Your book was a fantastic read. The only criticism I could possibly offer would be that I would have liked to see more stories in the “Nearly Perfect” appendix section of the book, and that a few more pictures would have been nice. I thought this was a wonderful book and would love to see a new and improved version containing the six perfect games that have happened since this books
