The impact that the media in the United States has on the minds of the youth has changed into an increasingly dangerous issue. While the media has many positive influences there are still yet many negative behaviors exercised by many teenagers and young adults. Amongst these behaviors is the acceptance of how sex is ok amongst teenagers. The media has become a pool of promiscuity which has led to the spread of many STD’s including HIV and AIDS. First Amendment and Pornography These articles have opposing viewpoints on laws concerning pornography. Both authors argue their side of the issue while having many of the same ideas as each other. To begin, “The First Amendment Junkie” by Susan Jacoby states that certain restrictions on pornography would be a violation of the first amendment. Susan Jacoby is known for writing about women's rights and issues for popular magazines such as Glamour, McCalls, and The Nation. Handmaid's Tale Essay Sexual relations are a major theme throughout The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. In order to make sexual relations more normal the Republic of Gilead tries controls them but in doing so makes these relationships incredibly bizarre. By attempting to control and normalize sexual relationships and sexual tension, the Republic of Gilead made all types relationships and the sexual tension all the more strange. The majority of the relationships in The Handmaid's Tale are strange such as Offred's relationship with the Commander and Nick, and Serena Joy's relationship with the Commander and Offred. Sexual tension in Gilead is increased due to the disappearance of pornography.

Morality is the sense of whether an action is “good” or “bad”; what is punishable behavior and what is rewardable behavior. Morals will often vary between cultures, basing themselves upon what that cultures hold important and valuable. What makes sex crimes an interesting offense to write about is that, among generally all the cultures of the world, they are deemed despicable.
Intentionally or otherwise, entertainment condones violent behavior and downplays its significance. Modern entertainment lays sex and violence on dangerously thick. By excusing brutality and equating promiscuity to beauty, it distorts the moral values of society. Additionally, it encourages a personally dangerous lifestyle. STDs, fighting fatalities and injuries, and jail time are real threats to those who choose to live in the false grandeur of a Hollywood life.
Deep Throat What was most shocking and clever about Deep Throat, is that it’s a graphic film that was made to break boundaries; it brought “porn” to public theatres. Director Gerard Damiano’s intentions where to recreate the face of pornography, and turn it into an art form that was socially acceptable. However, the way the main character Linda Lovelace was portrayed, the film turned out to be extremely degrading to women, representing them as sex symbols. This caused uproar of feminist movement in the United States during the early 70s. The comedic factors in this movie helped the audience feel more at ease watching fellatio being projected onto mega screens in theatres.
A “moral panic” starts with an unspeakable tragedy, which sparks an attempt to ascribe blame and responsibility.
