During circle time for example, the teacher has all the students sitting around her while she goes over the morning activities. During this time she has the kids go over the month, the day, the year, the weather, reads them a book, and we sing a song together as a class. During circle time all the students are supposed to remain seated with the legs “criss crossed”. I observed that several of the students with special needs had a difficult time remaining in this seated position, while others seemed to have no problem with it. The teacher, I found was very understanding and knew her students very well, and therefore she was a bit more lenient with those that tended to have a hard time

And because Michael trusted Sue, Michael did not fully review the financials before approving them. Secondly, the related accounting system technology is old and cannot provide the sufficient controls. For example, Koss Corp.’s computerized accounting system was almost 30 years old. Moreover, the internal control of the company was also weak. There are not enough regulations and monitoring system for the daily accounting activities.
The student support center helps students at HCC with anything and everything they need. For example if a student is behind in his / her math class, that student can go to the student support center and sign up for tutor. A student can sign up for tutoring as many times as students feel they need to go. Also if the student does not have time for one on one session, they can also get help from an online tutor. For example, last semester Sarah was having trouble in her writing class.
She is required to submit her lesson plans to the principle for approval every week. Mrs. Mills plans using a model similar to the Zone of Proximal Development by providing guidance and assistance to teach her students. She also uses scaffolding to encourage the student to do the work on his/her own. Mrs. Mills does not have an assistant. Therefore, it is difficult to give each student the attention he/she deserves.
Counselor Interview On Tuesday September 11 2012, I had the opportunity to interview Mrs. Gloria Williams about her life as an elementary school counselor. Mrs. Williams has been a counselor for eight years all at Barton Chapel Elementary. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Augusta State University. She expressed to me that she became a counselor because of the lack of dedication and motivational individuals in the counseling field, especially in the school systems. She said that most students do not have the means or the opportunity to seek outside help with academics and social problems.
I’ve had an experience in which the minutes I took weren’t written effectively, therefore everyone ended up going in different directions & then had to meet again for the same original purpose. Whereas if the meeting minutes are written well, everyone gets the same notes and are all on the same page. Everything that I’ve learned in school and even on my job has helped me in my adult life to be able to write resumes, cover letters, applications, etc. Even in my personal life as a mom, everyday my son comes to me for pen and paper. Because He’s only 23 months, He scribbles all over the paper but I still feel that it’s my obligation as a parent to take his hand and guide him.
I noticed that in the back of the classroom, there was a huge shelf containing books organized in different levels like magazines, realistic fiction, non-fiction, Times for Kids, National Geographic and so on. Throughout the class, there were some hanging instructions of how to take good notes, how to be a good listener, and what rules to follow. On the right hand side along the wall, there were 4 computers where students could use to do Kid-Biz or On-line activities. After Mrs. M. settled in, she finally asked
There was a significant gap between Biometra’s general manager’s job requirements and the current skills of Erik Peterson. Due to the lack of managerial experience Peterson was unable to see the big picture addressing the problems associated with producing a successful catheter launch. What problems are facing Erik Peterson? There are several problems which Peterson faces throughout the case. 1.
My classroom roles are spread out over many years - not actually as a TA but on a voluntary basis (TA's or LSA's did not exist back in the day). I regurarly spent time with the infants listening to them read. I would take a small group of children and help them to catch up with their work (usually literacy as it is stronger than my numeracy skills). Quite often I would assist children who had not fully completed their homework or daily diary. I also did whatever the teacher asked me to do.
