TDA 2.6 > Why Teamwork is important in schools? “Team” is being part of a group of people who collaborate to achieve a goal. In a team, members acquire a specific role to fulfil, effectively share ideas and work together towards the achievement of a certain task which is Teamwork. Effective teamwork among the school staff is very important as it ensures the smooth running of school. It shows that the school staffs have a common purpose; i.e. to achieve the targets and provide the support required for a great learning environment for pupils and colleagues. When working in a team in a school, problems are exposed to a greater diversity of knowledge, skill and experience and therefore a greater variety of complex issues can be tackled effectively. Faster output is another benefit of a good teamwork. As no person can be good at everything, working in a team provides a great opportunity for the school staff to learn from each other’s skills and talents. Teamwork is dependent on trusting, professional relationships with each other and with their supervisors. As a result of teamwork, teachers and teaching assistants improve the ways in which they work together efficiently to meet the needs of children in their classes. I as a teaching assistant working together and helping each other create an atmosphere of teamwork that improves the child performance and work morale. > The Purpose and Objective of the team that am working in The team I work in is year 6 group. I support the three form class and for me to do that I work with the teachers from the head of year, teacher and teaching assistant. The purpose of the team I am working with is to make sure that every child is involved in the curriculum and has access to it. The main objective is to create a safe educational environment for the children to learn
