When they have this positive relationship, they are less likely to be unnecessarily competitive but they work together as a team sharing ideas and using the same principles across the school. Discussing cases in small group settings can be a huge benefit in that each person would bring varying perspectives, critiques and solutions to the table, increasing the knowledge of each teacher more than if they were to just complete individually. Once critiques are made upon a case and other people offer suggestions and opinions teachers will be much more capable and confident to reflect and critique their own classroom teaching. Teaching cases are for the greater good of all teachers; they need not be put down, but instead used for the edification of other teachers where they can bounce ideas off each other for greater understanding on how to deal with certain situations. Discussing cases will test the beliefs of everyone involved, broadening the minds of teachers and evaluating each perspective. Each person must be able to effectively communicate their views and reasons why they have certain beliefs.
In this sense, academic success and performance will benefit and promote the students, the teachers/educators, and also the educational system. Learning is defined as the acquisition of knowledge through practice and experiences. Just as students differ, so does the way they learn. Some students learn by action or doing, some learn by observing, some learn by studying, while some learn by practice. Honey and Mumford identified these as ‘activists’, ‘reflectors’, ‘theorists’ and ‘pragmatists’.
If you have a good communicative relationship then this can assist the individual with their learning, it will make it easier for you to negotiate when disagreements may occur. When working closely with children, young people and adults it is important to have effective teamwork and to also let them be independent in making their own decisions. If you have already built a trusting and respectful relationship then working as a team will become easier and the individual will know that they can trust and count on you. This is so the practitioner can act on the advice and put it onto the planning. This advice can have more experience in different aspects of the child’s life. This then helps with the care and learning needs of all children as if the child has a disability which affects their learning. The teacher will have to get another professional in that knows what they are doing to help care for the child and help with the child’s learning. This means that the child will be getting a full learning experience and understand the lesson because it is easier for them.
However, face to face interaction can encourage max participation and increase learning in a proper setting. In some cases, there might be programs that require hands on instruction and demonstration, which is more easily achieved in a classroom setting versus online education (Tracy E Dickinson, eHow Contributor). Unlike online classes, you have immediate feedback from students and professors with traditional learning. The clarity of assignments is better because there is no room for misinterpretation. Also, attending a traditional classroom will allow the student to have access to a structured environment which could lead to better grades.
Let us now evaluate these four salient beliefs in detail. A teacher who is enthused and comprehend the subject or discipline he or she teaches will gain admiration and respect from their students. Additionally knowledge will be disseminated more easily, since student will be more open and ready to learn. The student will learn because they will be at ease and more comfortable since such teacher will be more prepared and will be more confident in passing on the desired material, value or objectives he or she want to be learnt. A teacher who love the profession and is not only seeking personnel gain or their salary will overcome the many hurdles that are in the
