One of the most important reasons to why library censorship is unacceptable is that it limits our information resources. In other words, we will not have the right to receive and source our assignments with quotes and information from banned books, nor will we have the right to read certain books from some of our favorite authors. There are many books that are banned from people or more likely students under the age of 17 (Koss 29). One of these books is
The data from the training project was unreliable. The agency had outdated forms. With all the data the agency did collect for the training project, the agency did not know how to put the data together to satisfy the evaluator. The evaluator did not give the agency enough notice to get all the data needed for the evaluation. If the agency had more notice from the evaluator, the evaluation process would have been more reliable.
There are many reasons for this, but the most common reason is because service members are not going to seek the help they need. In the journal, “A Preliminary Investigation Of The New and Revised
Both users and nonusers of Carmex will potentially take the survey because Carmex will not know who they are sending the survey to. A disadvantage of this method is that many of the households will not respond because they do not care about taking a survey for Carmex. Thus, a lot of surveys will have to be sent out in order to receive the required amount of feedback. The other option discussed is an online survey of Carmex Facebook likers. An advantage of this is most of the feedback will come from devote Carmex users who want their opinion to be heard.
Thereby we cannot evaluate the work of professionals the same way as amateurs. Books also are considered very important in this article, however I don’t believe that they are as reliable as professors. Although they are highly educational, sometimes it is not easy to verify the authenticity of the source. In other words some books are not trustworthy since they are merely commercial and written by ordinary people. Thus I believe that by omitting this detail Robinson has restrained his vision of the matter.
This could be especially true in the case of researching court proceedings as it is unlikely many researchers have gone through one themselves. Recordings could also be tainted as researchers must rely on memory as notes cannot be made openly. However, this research method is arguably far more useful than just collecting statistical data. Covert observation has long been regarded as unethical. This is due to an absence of informed consent from participants, however Humphreys justified covert observation by suggesting it is the only way to study
Validity, Credibility, and Reliability Some reasons I might consider data or information to lack validity, credibility, or reliability are if the information has come from an untrusted site, if the evidence does not support the topic, the information that I already know about the topic is contradicting, and if there are no sources for where the information came from. A perfect example of information or data that my lack validity, credibility, and reliability is the information that is given through Wikipedia. Wikipedia offers a lot of information and is usually at the top of search lists, but they information that they provide can be altered and changed by anyone, thus causing the information to lack validity, credibility, and reliability. I do not use Wikipedia what so ever, because I do not know if the person relying information is an expert in that area, or a person that just happens to know a little about the topic I am addressing. Validity, credibility, and reliability can also be compromised if the source brings about any kinds of bias.
He did not have the knowledge necessary to communicate with people outside of the circle of the street runners, gamblers and dope dealers. He did not possess the words that he needed to express himself to them, which disappointed him, he said; "I become increasingly frustrated at not being able to express what I wanted to convey in letters that I wrote." In his quest for fulfillment, Malcolm began to study the dictionary. The dictionary provided him with a wealth of knowledge including a wide variety of words. He acknowledged that, "the dictionary was like a miniature encyclopedia", he learned of people, and places and events from history that he never knew existed.
As I soon found out, there are many websites that are not good sources for Nubian knowledge (*cough cough* Wikipedia *cough cough*). Therefore when I began my research on the Nubians it was very hard to find the specific details that I wanted for this
One of the most common critical issues within a religion is their scriptures. According to Molloy and Hilgers (2010) “Sometimes the texts of the scriptures were incomplete, or the translations that scholars might need to depend on were not accurate.” Incomplete text means that there is room for error within the translation and in most cases; the scriptures could in fact translate to something different, leaving too much room for interpretation depending on the scholar translating it and the people reading it. Molloy and Hilgers (2010) also mention, “Another large area of concern involved the study of religions that did not have written scriptures but had only oral traditions.” This leaves room for too many questions and again, a large margin for interpretations. The lack of resources in the early years meant that scholars did not count with historical accuracy to reference as far as translating some of these
